Phius Forward
Phius (Passive House Institute United States) creates a path to a zero-carbon built environment and we are striving to meet this standard in the Triangle. At a minimum we will build to the most current International Residential Code and International Energy Conservation Code. North Carolina builders are only required to follow the 2018 IRC and IECC but we are committed to elevating home building to the highest possible standard.

From the very start this is our focus: building a home that fosters peace and peace of mind. Renew Design and Build is creating high performance homes, not structurally mediocre houses. You won’t find our product in a cleared out development with short life span structures. We build with every part of the process in mind. We use recycled materials from locally deconstructed houses along with cutting edge technology for sound mitigation, balanced intake and exhaust systems for high air quality, superior moisture control and filtration, heat and cool air retention, etc. We work with local organizations to save trees on buildable parcels and replant piedmont prairies and small pocket forests to make the lot that your home is on as stable as the home itself.
